"His gospel is the perfect prescription for all human problems and
social
ills. But His gospel is effective only as it is applied in our lives.
Therefore,
we must 'feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of
Christ will
tell [us] all things what [we] should do.' (2
Nephi 32:3.) Unless we do His
teachings, we do not demonstrate faith in Him." — Ezra Taft
Benson, "Come unto
Christ," [Salt Lake City: Deseret Book Co., 1983], p. 132

"Let us not grow so busy in our daily activities that we thoughtlessly
fail
to 'feast upon the words of Christ.' (2
Nephi 32:3)" — Joseph B. Wirthlin, "Finding Peace in Our
Lives," [Salt Lake City: Deseret Book Co., 1995], p. 238

"It is accurate to say also that, when we are living well enough, the
promptings of the Spirit will guide us in tactical matters (telling us
all
things we should do [see 2
Nephi
32:3]). Once we really know the 'what' and the 'why,' the 'how'
will become
clear." — Neal A. Maxwell,
"Notwithstanding My Weakness," [Salt Lake City: Deseret Book Co.,
1981], p. 108

"Thanks be to the scriptures. Thanks be to the Lord for his words that
are
so imbued with his Spirit. You will face nothing in life for which the
basic
principles are not found in the scriptures. The key is to understand
them and to
share them with your family. Nephi taught the value of the scriptures
when he
said: 'Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, they
speak the
words of Christ. Wherefore, I said unto you, feast upon the words of
Christ; for
behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should
do' (2 Nephi 32:3).
It is evident
that the Lord does provide the answers in the scriptures if we will
but seek
them out." — Gene R. Cook,
"Raising Up a Family to the Lord," [Salt Lake City: Deseret Book
Co.,
1993], p. 47

"I now add my voice to these wise and inspired brethren and say to you
that
one of the most important things you can do as priesthood leaders is
to immerse
yourselves in the scriptures. Search them diligently (see D&C
1:37; 3 Nephi
23:1). Feast upon the
words of Christ (see 2
Nephi
31:20; 32:3).
Learn the
doctrine. Master the principles that are found therein. There are few
other
efforts that will bring greater dividends to your calling. There are
few ways to
gain greater inspiration as you serve." — Ezra
Taft Benson, "The
Power
of the Word," Ensign, May 1986 p. 81

The gift of the Holy Ghost, given to us by our Heavenly Father
and administered by one having authority, includes the merciful
promise: “If ye will enter in by the way, and receive the Holy
Ghost, it will show unto you all things what ye should do” (2
Nephi 32:5). Through the constant companionship of the
Holy Ghost, every member of the Church can receive “the words of
Christ” directly (2
Nephi 32:3), at any time or place. This personal divine
guidance helps us to remain valiant in the testimony of Jesus
Christ and endure to the end of our days. Isn’t this wonderful!
